Swipzy Privacy Policy

Effective date: 21-09-2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Zeviter ("Swipzy", "we", "us") handles information when you install and use Swipzy, a catalogue-driven, swipe-to-shop product-feed app for Shopify stores (the "App").

1. Our role

When a Shopify merchant installs Swipzy, the merchant is the data controller for the information processed through the App, and we act as a data processor on the merchant's behalf. We process information only to provide and operate the App.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what the App needs to function:

  • Store information: your store's myshopify.comdomain and basic store details (such as time zone and currency) provided by Shopify when you install. We use the store domain to keep each store's data separate.
  • Feed configuration: the settings, styles, presets, experiments and text you configure for your feed in the App's admin.
  • Order-derived attribution data: to attribute sales to the feed and calculate our usage charge, the App reads, through Shopify'sorders/create webhook, the order's cart token, line item references, quantities and totals, and order dates, and matches them to feed sessions in a server-side ledger. Where a merchant enables the optional, operator-only "same customer" attribution mode, the order's account identifier is also read, and stored as part of the ledger entry, solely to link a shopper's own feed sessions.
  • Storefront interaction data: the App's storefront code and a Shopify web pixel record aggregate feed activity, such as feed sessions, add-to-cart and saved-item counts, and thecheckout_started and checkout_completed events, used to produce your analytics and A/B test results. These are not used to build a profile of an identifiable shopper.
  • Technical information: standard server and security logs, such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps, generated when the App is used.

3. Information we do not collect

Swipzy does not collect or store data that identifies your store's customers (shoppers). We do not access or store customer names, email addresses, postal or shipping addresses, phone numbers, or payment information. Order attribution uses cart tokens, line item references, quantities and dates, and the web pixel is not used to collect personal customer data; we do not request the protected scopes that would expose it.

Two shopper features hold only minimal data, and neither identifies a shopper to us. Saved lists (wishlists) are kept on the shopper's own device, as product handles only, and do not leave their browser, unless the shopper signs in to sync the list to their Shopify customer account, in which case the handles are stored against that account. The optional "same customer" attribution mode, if a merchant enables it, stores an account identifier only to link a shopper's feed sessions; we erase it on a customer redaction request (see section 9).

4. How we use information

We use the information above to provide and operate the feed and its admin; keep each store's data isolated and secure; attribute sales and calculate usage charges from the server-side ledger; produce analytics and A/B test results; respond to support requests; and maintain, secure, and improve the service. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising. Swipzy never stores or serves a video byte: all product media shown in the feed stays on Shopify's CDN, in your own store.

5. Legal bases (UK and EU GDPR)

Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we process information on the basis of performing our contract with the merchant (providing the App) and our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the service.

6. Sharing and subprocessors

We do not sell or rent information. We share information only with service providers that help us run the App, under appropriate data-protection terms:

  • Shopify, the platform the App runs on.
  • Render, application hosting (data processed in the European Union, Frankfurt region).
  • Neon, database hosting (data stored in the European Union, Frankfurt region).

We may also disclose information where required by law.

7. Where your information is stored

Swipzy's application and database are hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt region).

8. Data retention and deletion

We retain your data for as long as the App is installed. When you uninstall the App, we delete your store's data from our systems within 30 days, including on receipt of Shopify's shop redaction request.

9. Shopify compliance requests

Shopify requires all apps to support three privacy webhooks. We handle them as follows:

  • shop/redact (sent after uninstall): we delete the store's data from our systems.
  • customers/redact: Swipzy does not store customer-identifying data. Where a merchant has enabled the optional "same customer" attribution mode, we erase the account identifier held in that store's ledger for the customer, and we erase any wishlist handles stored against that customer's account.
  • customers/data_request: we return any such data held for the customer, or confirm that none is held.

10. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect information, including encryption of data in transit (HTTPS) and at rest, and access controls that limit who can reach the systems holding your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.

11. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Because we act on the merchant's behalf, we will work with the merchant to honour these requests. To make a request, contact us atSupport@Zeviter.com.

12. Children

Swipzy is a business tool, is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version at this URL and revise the effective date above. We will communicate significant changes through the App or by email where appropriate.
